I have learned from personal experience that It is always best to talk about your problems rather than burying them or trying to face them alone. Unresolved emotions and feelings can cause negative mental and physical effects. Suppressing your emotions, bottling your pain, and pushing your hurts deep down inside of yourself while trying to avoid them will eventually cause them to explode more fiercely than before. It is important to listen to, acknowledge, and confront your emotions instead. You must feel to heal!
Sometimes it can be difficult to talk to friends or family members about what you are going through due to fear of judgment or not wanting to feel like a burden. Believe me, I have embarrassed myself MANY times by sharing my personal problems with friends and/or family, in the moment. Some viewed it as negativity because they had never experienced what I was going through and had no clue what to do or say, while others gave poor advice. I have found that it is better to talk to an unbiased person who has personally experienced difficult situations and understands what you may be going through. That is where I come in. Although I may not have all of the answers to your questions, I am here to listen if you need a friendly person to lend an ear.
Healing is a process which takes time and patience, but one day soon you will look back, smile, and be proud of how far you have come. I am still riding the roller coaster of life myself, and what a ride it has been so far! Every day is a new day with new experiences. Let's learn and grow together!
Strength and dignity are her clothing,
And she smiles at the future.
